WELCOME TO
Bethune college Sammilani

The name of Bethune college Sammilani was inextricably associated with education for Bengali women. Viewed in this light, no other Girls school in undivided Bengal could hold a candle to Bethune. If one were to compile a list of Bethune students at the end of nineteenth century and the first four decades of the twentieth, the result would be a who’s who of Bengali women of those times.

History of Bethune College Sammilani

The necessity of a platform for ex studentof the college was first envisioned by Miss Gertrude Marian Wright , the then Principal of the college and the same was established on 3rd September, 1921.
